The national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) the person of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has stated that he has told President Muhammadu Buhari about his presidential ambition.
According to Daily Trust, it was said that Tinubu made that statement during an interactive session with the state house correspondents after meeting Buhari at Aso Rock on Monday, January 10.

This was also reported by Vanguard Newspaper that the APC national leader said he is at the State House to see the President on general issues concerning Nigeria including some of the concerns in the APC and as well as security issues.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was asked whether he has informed President Buhari of his ambition to contest for the president in 2023, has stated.
He also said that “I have informed the President of my ambition but I have not informed Nigerians yet, I am still consulting”.
And the president’s response was, Asiwaju Tinubu said that the president as a democrat did not ask him to back off from the race.
