Personnel of the Kano State Hisbah Board have shaved off the hair of final year students of a  secondary school in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of the state.

The photos were posted on the official Facebook page of the Islamic police on Tuesday night, August 9.

Meaning of Hisbah

Hisbah (Arabic: حسبة‎ ḥisbah) is an Islamic doctrine which means “accountability”.

The Kano State Hisbah Corps is a religious police force in Kano state, Nigeria. responsible for the enforcement of Shari’a to the only Muslims in Kano state and other parts of the northern Nigeria
