BREAKING: Makinde endorses Ogundoyin as 10th Assembly Speaker

Oyo state Governor Seyi Makinde has thrown his weight behind the reemergence of Rt. Hon. Debo Ogundoyin as Speaker of the state house of assembly

Makinde who gave the hint during the commissioning of an electrification project at Olorunda Ogunsola Idi-Obi and environs in Ona-Ara local government area stressed that those who did well in his Omituntun 1.0 should be given an opportunity in Omituntun 2.0

He noted that it was only logical to entrust another opportunity on people who were good team players just as the people of Oyo state had also given his adminstration an opportunity for a second term in office.

The Governor also acknowledged that the Speaker as the head of the legislative arm of government didn’t only perform his statutory responsibilities satisfactory but played a stabilizing role in the state polity.

He however added that though he was not a member of the house of assembly and would support a democratic process of an emergence of a Speaker, but it remained his desire for Rt Hon Debo Ogundoyin to return as a Speaker in the 10th assembly.
