8 suspected hoodlums has been allegedly arrested by men of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN). It was said that the hoodlums belong to a notorious group known as Sara-Suka in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. It was said that the hoodlums are connected with the murder of of Sani Mazadu, a lecturer with the Federal University, Gashua, Yobe State, and Suleiman Sa’adu, a vigilante.

It was reported that Mazadu and Sa’adu were killed during a clash between two rival groups in Jos on Monday, April 11, 2022.
According to the Jos North LGA Commandant of VGN, Sani Kachalla, it was said that the eight suspected hoodlums between the ages of 16 and 20, have been fermenting trouble in some communities in Jos, Jos North Local Government Area.
It was said that Sani Kachalla said the the hoodlums were arrested in different destinations by their officers.
The Jos North LGA Commandant of VGN assured that with the support being received from the chairman of Jos North Government, they will continue to make sure that there will be no hiding place for criminals in the area.
It was also reported that Sani Ahmad the Operations commander, Jos North Vigilante Group Of Nigeria, who sheds more light on efforts which led to the arrest, stressed that the command has initiate measures to bring all the perpetrators to book.
It was gathered that, reacting to the development,Shehu Usman, chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, commended the officers and men of the Vigilante Group Of Nigeria for their efforts in ensuring a free crime society.
He also added that his administration will continue to work closely with the conventional and Non Conventional actors to protect lives and prosperity of citizens in the area.
